Homeshooling Through
High School

If you have an 8th-12th grader and need support in Homeschooling Thru High School, consider joining the High School Mentoring Group. Here are some of the topics covered.
Date: The 1st Tuesday of each month.
Time: 6:30-8:30 p.m.
Location: Chester

July 16, 2007 at Colonial Heights Baptist Church at 7:00PM. This is free to all those interested in learning more about homeschooling in the state of Virginia and the Tri-Cities Home Educators support group. We will have an information packet for all those visiting. Some of the things covered will include the law, proof of achievement, what records to keep and who to contact at the local level with your Notice of Intent.
Refreshments will be served.

TCHE has a fairly extensive resource library of books, tapes, CD's, videos, etc. for check-out by member families only.
Materials may be checked out for a period of one month (from one monthly meeting to the next). The materials are
available for checkout at Jennifer's house, and may be returned to her house or to a meeting. If you have materials

Mentoring Classes
Home Education 101

Each year we offer a Home Ed 101 course/ Mentoring Class for new homeschoolers. This course was written by Vicki Bentley www.everydayhomemaking.com. This course covers many topics that you probably have questions about such as; Getting Started, Organizing, Learning Styles, Choosing Curriculum, Testing and much more.
